Talent showcase was on at Kampala Parents School when it hosted three primary schools at the Inter-School Athletics Completions which took place at the school’s sports complex on Wednesday 6th April.
Kampala Junior Academy, Trinity Primary School and Kisule Primary School joined Kampala Parents School to compete in different games. They competed in the tag of war, 800m, 400m, 200m, 100m and royal race for both boys and girls.
Trinity Primary School emerged as overall winners followed by the hosts Kampala Parents School and Kisule Primary School. Kampala Junior Academy came last in fourth position.
Daphne Kato, the Principal of Kampala Parents School thanked the participating schools for honouring the invitation and turning up for the competition. She asked all the kids that were in the competition to network and make friends from the visiting school for a better tomorrow.
“Work without play is not good, we need to play; there are many advantages of having such playing time. Children's stress is shade off,” Kato said adding that they organized the competition to “strengthen our working relationship with other neighboring schools’.
Alex Mayo, the games master at Trinity Primary School, in an interview said: “"I am happy that I have taken this trophy from Kampala Parents School. The success came because we worked hard and came ready for this event.”
Kampala Parents’ School is on international level but follows a local curriculum. It’s situated along lugogo by pass and has an enrolment of over 3000 pupils with 130 well trained teachers and over 150 non-teaching staff members. The pupils come from all over the world.
