One of the many resolutions people make at the start of the year is to keep their bodies in shape and fit, however, as the year evolves, they lose focus and their bodies spiral out of shape and can barely run a few meters. To such people working out is laboring and tideous or burdening.
However Speke Resort Munyonyo and Munyonyo Commonwealth resort are organizing a a fun filled end of year Zumba Glow dance workout on 21st December 2017, from 6pm- 9pm for only Ushs30,000 per individual to inspire and show people that you can attain a good body in a fun way.
This year’s theme is Neon-yup. Participants will wear bright outfits so they can glow. Zumba dance has over the years gained momentum in Uganda having been introduced to the world by a Colombian dancer and cyclist/choreographer Alberto "Beto" "Power Pedal" Perez during the 1990s.
Zumba involves dance and aerobic movements performed to energetic music. The choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo. Squats and lunges are also included.
As a fitness option, zumba burns fat and calorie through aerobic activity done with interval training in mind. The average person will burn around 600 to 1,000 calories in a Zumba class. Zumba provides a workout for the whole body.
