Speke Resort and Conference Centre is ‘excited’ and feels ‘proud’ to host this year’s oil 5th Oil and Gas Convention being organized by Uganda Chamber of Mines and Petroleum and Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development.
Greg Petzer, General Manager, Speke Resort in an interview has promised to offer utmost hospitality and a wonderful experience to the dignitaries that will come to attend the high level convention in the oil and gas industry.
“We will do what we have always been able to do. People coming for the convention should expect a wonderful experience on the shores of Lake Victoria, good food, drinks and top hospitality from us as hosts,” Petzer said in an an interview.
Speke Resort is emerging as the most preferred destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing and Exhibitions (MICE). Recently, speaking at The Africa Now conference, at Speke Resort, Africa’s 8th richest person- billionaire Strive Masiyiwa was awed by the classic beauty of Speke Resort and its extension Commonwealth Resort Munyonyo proposing that the luxurious five star hotel resort should be named “the official African Conference Centre.”
“Why don’t we declare this venue; this site, the official African Conference Centre? I go all over Africa to conferences and in big hotels and we go to the basements and we come to this amazing venue…thank you very much for organizing it. I will come every year if you want,” said an elated Masiyiwa.
The 5th Annual Oil and Gas Convention scheduled for 9th- 11th April, 2019 will take place at Speke Resort Munyonyo under the theme: "2019 Decision Time: "Countdown to Commercialization.” The convention attracts senior oil and gas business leaders, investors and government decision makers.
