Entebbe's prowess as a top tourism destination in Uganda is well documented as it is littered was beaches spread across the shores of the magnificent Lake Victoria, and a wide range of biodiversity all that ably attract tourists from within Uganda and the world over.
The proximity of Uganda's only international airport, Entebbe Airport, is a plus that adds value to the town.
The beauty of Entebbe is yet again going to be enhanced when Dr Sudhir Ruparelia 5-star hotel unveiled last year comes to life.
People privy to the ongoing works and plans reveal that 5-star hotel is a work in progress and will soon light up the life of Entebbe.
"Dr Sudhir is finalizing a 5 star hotel and apartments, with world-class recreational facilities offering fascinating experiences for tourists, families and travellers," Watchdog, an online publisher said in an article recently.
The news website added that Dr. Ruparelia was driven to Entebbe because of its potential and its pose as a tourist destination.
The first of its kind, Sudhir is constructing a 350 guest room five-star beach hotel at a rocky site, replacing the nostalgic Ssese gateway, overlooking Lake Victoria and the surrounding lush tropical forests annex.
The construction of the Beach Hotel which started in 2019 is almost taking shape as the Kitubulu is painted with great construction, beautifying Katabi town.
Seated on an approximate 15 acres, the project is expected to take more than Ugx 36 billion, joining the Ruparelia group of Hotels. It also serves as an alternative to Entebbe Hotels with vast facilities that leave comfort for tourists to continue visiting the Pearl.
“We want to give Ugandans and the visitors something new and contribute to the growth of the Tourism sector in our country,” Dr Sudhir said in 2019.
In 2019, Sudhir, the chairman of Ruparelia Group, revealed he will be adding another super hotel Speke Resort and Convention Centre, Entebbe.
The five star Speke Resort and Convention Centre, Entebbe will have a marina, a convention centre and a 3-winged main hotel block, with up to 10 visible floors penthouse suites on the top floor.
Ruparelia Group already has an assortment of high-end hotels, resorts, restaurants and apartments spread across Kampala and Entebbe.
Ruparelia Group under Speke Group of Hotels has facilities Speke Resort and Conference Centre, Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort, Kabira Country Club, Speke Hotel, Dolphin Suites, Tourist Hotel, Forest Cottages, Speke Resort Bujagali Falls and the recently expanded Speke Apartments.
